This is the debut novel from Susan Ee and considering it was less than a pound on Amazon I did not expect to be very impressed with this book. However I cannot get enough of Angel stories and so I bought it figuring it would be a quick unimpressive read and then I could move on to something more stimulating. Oh boy was I wrong and may I just say that I am so glad to finally have a book where angels are actually bad-asses and bad guys.It's been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.
Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.
So of course and Angel apocalypse sounds freaking cool to begin with and when you throw in a bad ass chick with an (ok slightly mangled but still) incredibly hot, witty and angry Angel what’s not to love, and this book should have been nothing more than a bit of fun to satisfy my fangirl side, but oh no it was so much more.
