Book Haul

I've not wanted to do much on my blog while my competition is running but I thought today I'd do a book haul because that's the best thing about the weekends.

Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
I loved Unearthly so of course I had to go out and buy the sequel to it. Especially since I have read so any good reviews for it.

 Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
I have heard quite a few good things about this book series and found this book in a charity shop so I decided to buy it and give it a go.

On Writing by Stephen King
Another Charity shop find. Stephen King is an amazing writer so anything I can learn from him is plus

The Complete Poetry of Edgar Allan Poe
I love Poe's work so I bought this tiny book from the book depository for less that £3.
The Ask and the Answer by Patrick Ness
This is another book where the first novel drew me into the series so well that I had to go out and buy the second.

So what books did you get this week and what ones are you hoping to buy soon?

  2. Ohhh ... do I see some books I want myself in your haul?
I just finished "The Knife of ..." a little while ago, so I'm also longing to get my hands on the sequel of that AND I have just recently found out about Stephen King's book and seeing how I am a writer it is pretty shameful that I haven't read this book yet.
    And Poe rocks!

    1. I only found out about Stephen King's book from other bloggers. I get the impression it's one of his less well known books which I think is unusual but then again not every reader wants to write do they?
